“I am a great believer in the importance of the inner journey. At the same time, one of my favourite sayings comes from the prophet Mohammed, who said “Trust in Allah, but first tether thy camel”. And from oriental traditions of enlightenment comes another such saying, “Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water; after enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” Hence these commentaries on the state of the UK and the world. Once we might have said “no man is an island”. No island is an island any more either…” – Jon Freeman
Announcing a New Blog with Jon Freeman
We’re very pleased to be able to welcome Jon Freeman as a blogger/presenter at Whole Life Whole World.com and also to be working with him as a colleague in the collective effort for a more sustainable and integrated world and UK society. If you ever wanted to understand more about what is going on, this is a great opportunity.
Jon is a well-known and highly regarded exponenet of the Spiral Dynamics model as developed by Dr Don Beck. He also has a Masters in Human Sciences, is the author of the book, ‘God’s Ecology’, a response to Richard Dawkins’ premise, and is a Director of The UK Centre for Human Emergence.
You can click here for Jon’s blog website;
Jon will be blogging and podcasting with us periodically on the subjects of change and Spiral Dynamics, particularly as they apply to the UK, but also around the world.
His work on Change Dynamics also includes understanding of the personal development of the individual, so you may enjoy plenty of interest and benefit in his work there, too.
As well as listing his first blog, Jon and I have also recorded and uploaded some audio interviews to the website to explain and introduce the concepts of Spiral Dynamics, and then also to define the eight “colour” stages of Spiral Dynamics which provide such invaluable information and insight for addressing social and global issues such as The Middle East, the economy, the political arena, the environment and social tensions.
Please join me in wishing Jon a very warm welcome to our online community.
SDi Level One Training in September
Jon and another friend of ours, Rachel Castagne, will also be facilitating Spiral Dynamics SDi Level One Training in London in September, Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th.
Spiral Dynamics is a well-known and much applied approach, having been applied in association with Nelson Mandela in South Africa’s recent history, in the Middle East, in Iceland, and many others, and if you are interested pursuing this further you can click on the link below to find out more;
Best wishes and happy living,
